The Firm Biggane Bros. Auctioneers was founded in 1949, by the late Willie Biggane, who was a member of the I.A.V.I.. (Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute) and went on to become a fellow member of the Institute in later years.

  His son Billy the present Co. Director grew up with the business and worked with his father for a number of years before taking out his auctioneers licence in 1989 when he then joined the I.P.A.V. (Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers).

 
The firm now operating for over 55 years specialises in selling and letting all types of property and effects, residential, commercial & agricultural by Public Auction and Private Treaty serving the North Cork and South Limerick area and beyond.

 
As Billy had followed in his fathers footsteps so too the latest addition to the firm – his daughter Bridget, who has recently taken out her auctioneers licence, and at present is working part-time alongside her dad, and in future years will join the business on a full time basis at their offices in their new premises at South Main St. Charleville.
